FAQ

The questions we are asked the most...
How much is it for extensions?

The price of hair extensions will always be down to how your natural hair is and the look you are looking to achieve, it’s always best to arrange a free consultation so that we can give you a quote specifically for you.
Our prices range from around £70 for what we call ‘hair fillers’ and £360 for our highest quality full head but there are a lot more prices in between this range so a consultation is a must.

What is the consultation process?

Firstly you would need to contact Dinky Links to arrange your consultation - there are a number of contact options on the contact page of the website.
At the consultation we will discuss your natural hair and what you are looking to achieve from extensions, there’s so many possibilities with them and we love to make each and every head we do personal to you!
We will assess your hair to ensure it is suitable for extensions and then one of our favourite parts of the job and something we really pride ourselves in, colour matching! I have over forty colours on our colour ring. So with the art of mixing colours to create the perfect shade, it’s unlikely we won’t have your colour(s)!

What kind of hair do you use?

The hair that we use is 100% human remy hair. We offer two grades of hair, the first being Grade 4 Indian hair, and the second higher grade being Grade 6 Russian hair.

What is the difference between the grades of hair?

From wearing both methods myself I believe the main difference between the grades is that the Russian hair falls sleeker than the Indian hair. Dinky Links clients love both of the grades that we offer so it is really something to be discussed once I’ve seen your natural hair, a lot of the time it is also down to personal preference.

What is included at the fitting appointment?

We will fit the hair extensions based around your hair, including the thickness, where it naturally falls, even if you have a double crown! Once theyre fitted we will then cut them to the length that you desire, we can shape them around your face, and layer them if you wish to have them layered which if your hair is heavily layered will help it to blend.

How long do the hair extensions last?

The recommended time before removal is around three months, but it does depend on the growth of your own hair, We recommend clients with finer hair look to come back sooner.

Do hair extensions damage your hair?

Provided that hair extensions are fitted and removed professionally, and maintained by yourself correctly during the time they are worn, the hair extensions should not damage your hair. We have actually found with a lot of our clients that by wearing the extensions they have used less heat damage on their own hair and the health of their hair has improved whilst wearing Dinky Links extensions.
